The Evolution of ZipNewZ: From Concept to Global Opportunity

In 2022, ZipNewZ.com began as a bold vision—to revolutionize and decentralize news by building a network of hyperlocal video journalists. In the early stages, we created a series of concept videos to showcase the potential of a people-powered news platform.

These initial videos were not just placeholders; they were a proof of what was possible.

In order to prove the ZipNewZ concept, I launched a YouTube channel, Pinoy Rob (www.youtube.com/@PinoyRobG) to further test and scale the idea and test its real-world potential.

On October 2, 2023, we set up our first-ever studio "news station" in a family kitchen in Cagayan De Oro, Philippines, where we filmed our earliest video. At 12:51, an unplanned but memorable guest—a cat—made a surprise appearance, while our brand-new newscaster, Athalia Saniel, delivered her very first news segment.

From a Concept to a Scalable Reality

What started as a bold vision has now evolved into a fully operational, scalable platform. We've built three professional news studios, refined our technology, and developed a system that empowers anyone, anywhere to produce high-quality news content. We’ve proven the model works—and now, we’re scaling.

On January 23, 2024, we launched our second studio in Iligan City, Philippines; however, this was short-lived as our newscaster later moved abroad. While this presented a challenge, it reaffirmed our commitment to building a global network of newscasters—ensuring that no matter where you are, ZipNewZ.com gives you the tools to report, share, and shape the news.

On March 4, 2024, we expanded once again—this time to Davao City, Philippines, where the team launched their first video, marking another major milestone in our growth.

But ZipNewZ.com isn’t just about creating newscasters; it’s about reshaping the future of journalism.
